Our Story

Once upon a time…

Since the end of the 20th century, Quitapenas has been much more than just a wine cellar: it is a piece of Torremolinos’ living history.

The first Bodega Quitapenas Torremolinos was founded in 1962, and its first location was on Calle San Miguel until 1976. In 1982, a turning point was reached when it reopened at our current address, Calle Cuesta del Tajo 3, next to the Church of San Miguel.

Manuel, the heart and soul of our Bodega, is always ready to offer our wines, which go hand in hand with the typical local dish of fried fish. He knows better than anyone the tastes of the Bodega’s customers, whom he has been serving personally every day for more than 40 years.

Since its re-establishment, our Bodega Quitapenas Torremolinos has had the pleasure of serving thousands of customers. Over such a long period of time, there have been many anecdotes and situations, but we have always been mindful of maintaining the loyalty of our customers, which has been passed down from parents to children, whom we continue to serve with affection. Their testimonials are evident every day. To all of them, we offer our gratitude and our commitment to continue improving so that we can welcome all those who visit us from all over the world as they deserve.
